The school is one of the oldest schools of defence since the time of dependence.
This is one of the first twenty schools taken over first by central school organisation, now KVS. It is still running in the same old building of defence department. It is nearly two Km straight away from railway station, Ambala Cantt and Bus Stand Ambala Cantt. The city, Ambala is 05 KM away on NH-1.
The school has the limitation for its expansion. It will have soon its own building. It has two or three sections in different classes, highest being XII (Commerce faculty). It has scope to expand in respect of the enrolment.

All KV’s are affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi for all the examinations conducted at National Level to be at par with the other countries. The scheme of studies, syllabus and books are decided by NCERT, New Delhi as per the standard of National Education Policy.
